Born to a 2 Moon ruled Master Number 29/11 Lifepath under a 13-degree Cancer Sun on July 5th, there is no question that Bill was sent in this incarnation to utilize his deep imagination while he nurtures the masses with his talents. With the constant urge to invent, since the tender age of 1 when he first began drawing what he saw upon the TV, Bill has never stopped expressing his originality and individualism. Anyone with the influence of the 13 in their chart is “associated with genius- also with explorers, breaking the orthodox and new discoveries of all kinds.”

Bill’s just a “bit” of a perfectionist in how these creations go however with a 17-degree Virgo Rising, casting his natal sun in his 10th house of the Career/Work. This grants him Saturn’s inner drive to be responsible and think long-term - all while he truly enjoys the work he is doing, and is always passionately involved. Right next to his natal sun placement in the 10th House of Career we also find not only Uranus-which further intensifies Bill’s abilities to bring invention to the area of his career; but Venus who ensures that beauty, harmony and added perfection will be adhered to as he goes about it. Is anyone surprised now that Bill gravitated to the world of theatre and fashion design?

Bill says he was “incredibly blessed” in his learning and self-discovery period of life, as the right people where there to be able to encourage the talents he showed at such an amazingly young age. One Uncle, who watched him express his creative ability up until his passing when Bill was 4, is the soul who truly urged his family to “watch out for this extreme talent.” To this day, Bill, as a true Cancer on a 2 Lifepath, never forgets his family or the things that they have done along the way for him, as these remembrances of the past are sources of emotional comfort.

It was beyond obvious by the time Bill was in high school, these innate talents were here to serve him and many others. His cardinal Cancer soul with it’s Mercury guided 5 karmic path had him involved just about anything that allowed his paternal leadership and creative communication skills to unfold- from being the Art Editor of the newspaper and yearbook to the magical costumes and sets he designed for plays and productions. While his senior year brought him to a place of new beginnings in his life, the next year to follow at age 18 in a nurturing of ideas 2 personal year, Bill found a new home at Parsons School of Design. By age 21 as he graduated he completed his 5 personal year, that represented movement and permanent change in the life, marking the mid-way point through that current 9 year cycle.

While still working through his 1st learning and self-discovery period, the years to follow further explored Bill’s abilities as a fashion designer, he satisfied another innate Cancer Karmic Path 5 yearning, to travel. From China, Korea, Taiwan, eventually Bill found himself at age 25 living in Italy, where his ability to absorb information and details so quickly had him fluently speaking Italian within a month and a half’s time. It was here in Italy when he worked with the fashion guru Oleg Cassini.

By age 27, Bill in a 3 personal year of expansion, attained one early dream of residing in New York City, where he began his freelance design career, a choice that compliments his 5 karmic path’s need for freedom and movement. True to his 29/11/2 duality Lifepath, a second responsibility also entered the picture, allowing his innate leadership to flourish as he began to educate the artistic masses at Parsons, where he would teach for the next 22 years. Bill was asked to take the position of one of his own teachers who was retiring at that time, when he says, “I was already stuck in fabulous- then it lead to ridiculous.”

The natural nurturing and leading talents within Bill allowed him to be the guiding light for some of the most well-known fashion designers in the world today. Bill’s influence upon the masses goes deep as he is responsible for the development of the natural abilities of Marc Jacobs, Issa Mizrahi, Narciso Rodriguez, Badgeley Mischka, Peter Som, Derek Lamk, and Doo-Ri Chung.

While being the fashion educator extraordinaire, Bill always kept up- (due to his busy as a bee 5 karmic path urging while going along his duality Master Number 29/11/2 Lifepath) with his freelance career. In the Spring of 1995, as he was finishing up an 8 personal year of recognition and gains, the now infamous Ralph Lauren ‘Purple Label Suit’ was revealed. Again with another major influence upon the masses achievement, Bill had yet again expressed with perfection one more of his masterful design abilities.

Even though present day fashion students since June of 2001 at Parson’s are missing out on being lead by Bill’s grand skills, anyone can catch-up with this star talent. Still free-lancing and lecturing at seminars, the best place in Manhattan to go and see some of his most recent creations is at the Paris Commune, on 99 Bank Street. Wherever one’s eye may take-in a ‘Moulin Rouge’ image, you’ll find Bill’s signature not too far away.

As one finds themselves captured by the romantic allure of the Rouge Wine Bar downstairs within this French getaway in NYC, the mural that is indeed the essence of a ‘Moulin Rouge,’ was brilliantly painted by Bill. He calls it the “Homage to Rene Gruau,” who was a famous fashion illusionist and is one of Bill’s patron saints of influence along his successful career. The mural intricately captures the lives of many of Bill’s dearest friends and associates, and as one might guess, some infamous faces are part of this amazing story that can be seen anytime the Rouge Wine Bar is open for business.
