Jupiter in Aquarius

January 5th, 2009 to January 17th, 2010

Well, after our last entry giving the seemingly timid news of Saturn Retrograding in Virgo until this May, there is a place to seek luck and good fortune in the Zodiac Sky. Jupiter, the very planet that represents how we approach our wisdom, higher education, idealism and expansion in life within our birthchart entered the inventive sign of Aquarius 05 January @ 10:41am EST. No matter what Sun Sign you are, there is a touch of enchantment occupying one of those pieces of your Zodiac Pie for the next year.

Now, of course, if you happen to be an Aquarius- Jupiter’s turn in your sign that loves humanity and the advancements that benefit it- the year ahead is a very auspicious time in the life. With the spirit of optimism surrounding your natal Sun until 2010, it is most certainly a “planetary plus” transit! Depending upon the individual birthchart, possible neighboring planets that may fall in Aquarius also have their natural tendencies heightened.

In alignment with the Chinese Zodiac, typically the year of your animal (you know, the one that you read on the placemat when you go out for oriental cuisine) conjuncts with the journey of Jupiter’s transits in your Western Astrology chart every 12 years, otherwise known as a Jupiter Return. So, equally those Oxes and natives with Jupiter in Aquarius in the natal western birth chart are also on an “up year.” The Chinese also regard any “animal return” year (also every 12 years) to be filled with pleasantries and be quite fortunate for the native.

So where does that leave one, if not born to an Aquarius Sun, or has a natal Jupiter fall in the Water Bearer’s innovative energy? Get out that birth chart and see where Aquarius rules on your personal Zodiac Wheel! This will be the area of life that should flow optimally, and any possible planets natal placed in Aquarius will also be granted some extra star blessings over the course of the year ahead. For instance, if Aquarius falls in your 10th house governing the Career, Jupiter’s presence here advises you to be on the look out of new opportunities, feel confident to take a risk and make positive change happen!

The collective at large will see numerous philosophical adjustments over Jupiter’s transit through Aquarius, and these will get into some very different ways of looking at things. Remembering that Aquarius loves to bring new life to things wherever the new water is brought, this journey of Jupiter marks a time in our history that the world will be highly enthusiastic about issues concerning reform and all sort of mental pursuits. Sociability and the intuition will see plenty of outlets to expand, while originality and new founded ideas will be listened to.

Humanity, you’ve got Jupiter behind you for a while. Let us all enjoy the fruits and wisdom to come!

SATURN REtrograde 21 to 14 degrees VIRGO

12/31/2008 1:08pm to 5/16/2009 10:06pm EST

It’s yes Stars, time for our karmic Saturn to put on the brakes for the winter, and will be keeping the collective in the norms of retrograde reflective mode in all Virgo matters. Not only does this affect any Virgo native or one experiencing a Saturn Return, but any soul when one looks to the Virgo ruled Houses in their astrological birth charts until mid spring! OH NO…WHAT does this mean?!?  you might be saying…but adhering to the responsible lessons and ultimate fatherly wisdom Saturn is meant to teach us is smart advise from the Stars above. If there ever was one planet to listen to and not question, it is this one.

Saturn entered the sign of service and health in September of 2007.  Virgo’s energy, although typically polite, shy and impeccably neat, can also be incredibly discriminating, doubtful and fussy. When a planet such a Saturn is visiting such a sign, the tendencies for the collective to see outcomes on the not so happy side of the Virgo energy is generally high. We’ve mentioned before that since Saturn has entered the sign that loves to be of service to the world, the increase in how this happens has become more restrictive as the months go on. In Saturn’s 2nd and last Retrograde turn in Virgo, one thing you can expect to see by May 16th: the unemployment rate will reach the highest mark we have seen yet.

For the individual, how does one deal with Saturn’s pressing lesson of readjustment in the way we work and are of service to others? The astrological house in your birth chart where the 21 to 14 degrees of Virgo falls will point to the area of life where you need to bring reflection to over the months ahead. One thing is for certain, if any wrong doings have been going on, Saturn will make life more challenging than one can imagine to fix them right. Remember Virgo is the sign that also represents purity and innocence, and Saturn demands, just like a father, that these qualities are utilized in this area of the life.

More handy dealing with Saturn tips can be found in the Lexigrams that flow from the very letters composing:
